DELFT WITH TOUR GUIDE HOLLAND, CITY OF DELFT BLUE PORCELAN AND BURIAL PLACE OF THE ROYALS
Delft is known all over the world for its Blue and White ceramics, Delftware. The city has one of the biggest market squares in the Netherlands. With on one side a beautiful town hall designed by Hendrik the Keizer in Baroque style. On the other side of the square the Nieuwe Kerk in gothic style which contains the burial place of the Royal Family the house of Orange. Hometown of Vermeer, Grotius and Anthonie van Leeuwenhoek who discovered a whole lot by the use of his microscopes in the 17e century. Delft is a very lively city with a lot of nice shops and has about 100.000 inhabitants. It has canals and beautiful houses in the old innercity. It is a bit like Amsterdam but then miniature and way more quieter.

Visit the Old and New Church. In the New Church you can ado rate the beautiful monument erected for William of Orange which is placed above the burial place of the house of Orange. The actually crypt cannot be visited. There is multimedia to be seen with the royal funerals.
